Introduction
Stereogram Maker can help you make your own stereogram from any image. Unlike other stereogram builder tools, Stereogram Maker doesn't require depth images to create stereogram. Instead, it uses machine learning to estimate depth information from any regular images you upload. Within a few clicks, you can make your own stereogram from your favorite photo, without any hustle of modelling the object in 3D.
Upload an image to create a depth map, choose an output color scheme, then Stereogram Maker will create a stereogram for you!
News
[March 2022] Stereogram Maker now supports converting STL model into depth map, which then can be used to create stereograms. Try the STL-to-depth conversion tool by going to the "STL model to Depth Image" tab below!
Create Your Stereogram!
This is a beta feature to support conversion from STL model to depth image. With this feature, you can easily create stereograms from existing STL model file. Follow these steps to create stereogram from STL file.
1. Get a STL file. You can search for existing STL models on the internet(e.g. https://www.thingiverse.com).
2. Open the STL/Depth Converter using the button below
3. In the STL/Depth Converter:
3a. Click the 'uploadStlFile' button to upload your STL file.
3b. Adjust the depth near plan to minimum and depth far plane to maximum, make sure the object is visible
3c. Adjust the orientation of the object to your heart's content.
3d. Adjust the depth near plan such that it is just about to intersect with the object.
3e. Adjust the depth far plan such that the depth image capture all the details you want.
3f. Click the 'saveDepthImgae' button to download the depth snapshot to your computer.
4. Upload the depth image you just created on Stereogram Maker's index page to create stereogram!
